Today we jacked up our casino lobby with 4 new slots: Wild Falls, Strolling Staxx, Cazino Cosmos and Ted Pub Fruit Series.
Wild Falls (Play N Go)
Does the name James W. Marshall ring any bells? He was the one who initially found gold in 1848 and started the craze at Sutter’s Mill in Coloma, California. About 300,000 hungry gold diggers rushed to the west and the rest is history.
The slot Wild Falls cleverly depicts this golden (heh) era as it’s set on the actual water fall of the Yukon River, where banjo music accompanies the 5 reels and 3 rows. The treasure chests play the lead roles bumping on top of the falls, as they can fall down and become both wilds and scatters. The Standard symbols are 10, J, Q, K, A and high value ones are axes, lanterns and bags of gold nuggets.
The Bonus spin mode is pretty cool since it turns the river golden!
Strolling Staxx (NetEnt)
This game has a lot of hard angles – cubic trees, flowers, heck, even the river has sharp edges!
Strolling Staxx does remind us of classic Nintendo games both visually and thanks to the sound effects. Yet another grid of 5×3, it’s got 10 fixed pay lines and cube shaped fruit symbols that appear from the sky and disappear down in the river.
It’s playable on all devices and has a golden wild symbol that can pay out up to 33,3 times the stake. The main feature of this slot, similar to Netent’s other Staxx slots, is the Re-Spin feature.
Cazino Cosmos (Yggdrasil)
Classical(ish), futuristic music and robots in space, mmm… Cazino Cosmos is depicted as a casino somewhere on the milky way and it has 5 reels with 20 pay lines.
Low value symbols are intergalactic diamonds, hearts, spades and clubs while robots and an alien sphynx are the high value ones. A fat, cigar smoking general with a moustache and a teeny tiny top hat is the highest valued symbol and can pay out up to x100 the stake.
Some spaced out features to look out for are “Zero Gravity”, “Mutation” and “Expansion”.
Ted Pub Fruit Series (Blueprint)
The walking, talking teddy bear is back in a fruit slot that looks quite messy to be honest. On top of the grid we see loads of specials and the classic spin buttons are swapped for simple text buttons. The slot also seems to be optimised for mobiles.
We do love the fart and burp sound effects though!
The soundtrack is old-timey Ratpack / Casino / Las Vegas styled and the grid is 5×3. There are 5 fixed pay lines and a bet range of £0.10 to £10 per spin. A reasonable range for the pub, according to us. Just as with the former Ted slot, the goal is to hit “Ted’s Big Money feature” which can land players up to x1000 their stake.
